TZM0745B series MZO (Monocular Zoom Objective, continuously variable monocular objective) adopts a modular design concept with dual-end parallel optical paths, offering superior optical performance and excellent configurability. It is specifically designed for applications in machine vision inspection, industrial inspection, scientific research, and education.

TZM0745B series MZO consists of three basic modules: the continuously variable main body (which already includes the auxiliary objective and TV lens), the adapter for the support, and the optional module. In addition to the continuously variable main body, users can select the other modules according to their application needs. When combined with a camera module (optional), the TZM0745B series MZO can form a digital continuously variable microscope system.

The standard configuration of the TZM0745B series MZO is TZM0745B-W2100-TV2050-A50. Its main features are as follows:

  • The main body has a variable magnification range of 7X-4.5X with a 6.5X magnification ratio.
  • High NA: 0.02-0.07 (using a 1X objective).
  • High resolution: 17µm-3.9µm (using a 1X objective).
  • Large field of view: 67mm-22.85mm.
  • Maximum compatible with 1/1.8-inch image sensors (using a 75X TV lens).
  • Working distance: 95mm-127mm.
  • Compact dimensions: 125mm x 38mm (standard model).
  • Maintains focus throughout the zooming process.
  • Optional adjustable brightness LED ring light.
  • Optional high-brightness LED transmission backlight.

TZM0745B Series MZO Naming Rules

The TZM0745B series MZO adopts a finite conjugate optical system design. Its overall modular structure is shown in the image on the left. The five basic modules of the TZM0745B series MZO are: the continuously variable main body, the auxiliary objective, the TV lens, the support adapter, and the optional module.

To standardize shipments and ensure that customers select the correct configuration, we have scientifically named each of the major modules of the TZM0745B series MZO. This naming system serves both to differentiate the components within the five modules and to indicate which modules constitute the entire system. Therefore, based on the characteristics of the TZM0745B series, the module names are separated by hyphens, as shown in the example: TZM0745Baa-W2bbb-TV2ccc-Add

In the above expression, “aa” indicates the type of the continuously variable main body, “bbb” represents the magnification of the auxiliary objective, “ccc” represents the magnification of the TV lens, and “dd” represents the diameter of the support adapter. For example, if the selected main body module is TZM0745B, with a 1.00X auxiliary objective (W2100), a 0.50X TV lens (TV2050), and a 50mm support adapter (A50), then the name of the continuously variable microscope objective can be expressed as:

  • TZM0745BTD-W2100-TV2050-A50
  • Currently available TZM0745Baa modules: TZM0745;
  • Currently available W2bbb modules: W2100 and W2075;
  • Currently available TV2ccc modules: TV2050 and TV2075;
  • Currently available support adapter (Add) modules: A50 and A45;
  • The optional accessory modules mainly include ring lights and transmission backlights.
  • Other magnifications of auxiliary objectives, TV lenses, and support adapters can be customized as needed.

Purchase and Matching

The parameters corresponding to different configurations of the TZM0460 series MZO are listed in the table below. You can determine the required combination by following these steps:

  • Determine the possible 1) FOV and 2) object-side working distance, and then select the auxiliary lens accordingly
  • If using an infinity-corrected microscope objective with a 705 specification, choose an adapter to convert from M26x0.705 to M20x0.705
  • Based on 1) sensor size (1/x inch), 2) imaging diagonal length, 3) imaging width, and 4) imaging height, determine the camera’s imaging circle size and select the TV lens
  • Select a 45mm or 50mm bracket adapter
  • Select an LED ring light module for reflected illumination
  • If necessary, choose a coaxial illumination module
  • If necessary, choose a transmission illumination module
  • Select the appropriate camera

Related Modules

The TZM0745B series MZO offers four models available for selection: TZM0745B-W2100-TV2075, TZM0745B-W2100-TV2050, TZM0745B-W2075-TV2075, and TZM0745B-W2075-TV2050. All four models use TZM0745B as the zooming module, achieved by pairing it with auxiliary lenses and TV lenses of different magnifications.

For example, TZM0745B-W2100-TV2050 represents a standard model with a zoom module range of 0.7X–4.5X, an auxiliary lens magnification of 1.0X, and a TV lens magnification of 0.5X; similar principles apply to the others.

Bracket Adapter

The bracket adapter is used to mount brackets of different diameters onto the continuous zoom module. Its code is "Add", with "dd" representing the bracket mounting diameter, available in 45mm or 50mm. The mounting method for the bracket adapter is shown in the diagram.
