I3CMOS Series
Product Introduction
The I3CMOS Series is designed for high-speed machine vision, automated inspection, and scientific imaging applications. It features high-performance CMOS sensors from Sony and other manufacturers, with resolutions ranging from 0.5 to 20.4 MP and sensor formats from 1/2.9″ to 1.1″. The series offers both global shutter (GS) and high frame rate solutions (including rolling shutter RS models) based on application requirements, delivering clear, low-smear images even with high-speed motion and low-texture targets.
The system emphasizes compact design, low power consumption, and long-term stable operation. It provides USB3.0, GigE, and CoaXPress high-speed interfaces (model-dependent), supporting multiple bit depth outputs and bandwidth control to accommodate different cable lengths and acquisition bandwidth requirements. The built-in hardware ISP performs real-time processing including Demosaic, AE/AGC, AWB, Gamma/LUT at the camera level. The system supports free-running, software/hardware trigger, and multi-camera synchronization. I/O provides opto-isolated trigger/flash control and programmable GPIO for coordination with light sources, motion platforms, and other peripherals.
The series includes ToupView and cross-platform SDK (Windows/Linux/macOS; C/C++/C#/Python, etc.), compatible with DirectShow/TWAIN for easy system integration and secondary development.

High-Performance Sensor Technology Platform
The I3CMOS series incorporates advanced Sony IMX430, IMX421, IMX541, and Gpixel GMAX series sensors, covering diverse pixel size and resolution requirements. Pixel dimensions range from 2.74 µm to 4.5 µm, balancing detail representation with low-light sensitivity. These premium sensors ensure exceptional imaging quality across various lighting conditions, with dark current levels as low as 0.15 mV, making them suitable for long-exposure applications.
Global Shutter High-Speed Imaging Technology
The entire series supports global shutter technology, making them ideal for high-speed dynamic scenes while effectively eliminating motion blur. Typical models achieve 132 fps high-speed acquisition at 2 megapixel resolution. Even high-resolution 20.4 megapixel models maintain stable 17.5 fps output at full 4496×4496 resolution. This exceptional speed performance ensures outstanding results in high-speed production line inspection, motion analysis, and similar demanding applications.
Flexible Imaging Parameter Control
The cameras provide multiple hardware and software binning modes including 1×1, 2×2, 3×3, and 4×4 configurations, allowing users to balance speed, sensitivity, and image quality according to specific requirements. Support for both 8-bit and 12-bit data output satisfies different precision demands. Selected models achieve dynamic ranges exceeding 70 dB with signal-to-noise ratios of approximately 40 dB, ensuring rich image detail capture even in high-contrast scenarios.
Compact and Reliable Industrial-Grade Design
The cameras feature a compact 38×38×33 mm all-metal construction weighing approximately 70 g with power consumption below 3 W. The USB 3.0 (USB 3.1 GEN1) single-cable power solution simplifies system integration. Support for optically isolated I/O interfaces facilitates seamless embedding into automation systems. Operating temperature range of -10°C to 50°C and humidity tolerance of 20%-80% (non-condensing) ensure reliable long-term operation across various industrial environments.
Comprehensive Software Development Ecosystem
The cameras are compatible with ToupView software and support multiple platforms including Windows, Linux, macOS, and Android. The SDK provides comprehensive interfaces for C/C++, C#/VB.NET, Python, DirectShow, and Twain, facilitating secondary development. Rich SDK functionality and standardized I/O interfaces enable rapid integration into machine vision or scientific research systems, significantly reducing development cycles.
